At present, there are three levels in wine (incl Distance Learning) with the Diploma coming soon, plus two stand-alone spirits courses. Unlike other educational systems, you do not necessarily need to do all the levels in order. We are also able to offer a Wine Service Award as an ‘add-on’ to levels 1, 2 and 3.
If you already have other qualifications or experience, then WSET will allow you to start your education on Level 2 or even Level 3, saving you time and money. WSET offers courses suitable for both wine industry professionals and enthusiastic amateurs.
Wine & Spirits Courses
With courses ranging from absolute beginners to highly professional, WSET offers structured education programmers written by highly experienced educators and wine industry experts. Materials are overhauled completely every 3 years and updates of any important changes at ensued on an ongoing basis meaning that a WSET course is always up to date, relevant, accurate and useful.

If you’re unable to attend the lectures, WSET allows you to self study with the support of a highly-qualified tutor and a global network of fellow-students. Choose your own time and pace to get the qualifications you want and need.
Spirits Courses
The International Wine Centre is proud to offer the first stand-alone spirits courses available in Africa. Taught by industry experts and endorsed by Distell, Bacardi, Diageo, Moët-Hennessey amongst others, the spirits courses are ideal for bar staff, cocktail staff, sales and marketing personnel and anyone who thinks spirits are more than just shooters!
Service Award
At present, this is the only internationally-recognised wine service/sommeliers course available in Africa. This course must be taken in conjunction with another WSET wine course (Levels 1, 2 or 3) and gives candidates an insight into the world of sommelierie. Taught by qualified sommeliers, this is a very practical and hands-on course, invaluable to those wanting to offer the best in wine service.
